James Humes (Managing Director)
Jim was hired in July 2010 as Finance Manager and became Managing Director in December 2010. Jim currently focuses much of his time on fundraising activities, finance and personnel. Peter Hardie (Technical Director)
Peter has designed scenery, lights and special effects for most of Civic's productions over the past 30 years. The Spokane Arts Commission recently honored him with the Individual Artist award for his accomplishments. Peter served as adjunct faculty at Whitworth University for many years. more »
David Baker (Assistant Technical Director)
David has a B.A. in Drama from the University of Washington and an M.F.A. in Technical Theatre from Southern Methodist University. Jan Wanless (Lead Costume Design and Construction)
Jan holds a degree in British Literature and Theatre from Whitworth University. She has designed costumes for Civic and many regional productions over the past 28 years. Favorite design shows include "Assassins," "White Christmas," and "Annie Get Your Gun." She is best known for her period gowns and kilt making. more »
Jen Birkey (Assistant Costume Design & Construction)
Originally from Chicago, Jen now calls Spokane home. She holds two fashion design degrees, one from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles. She thanks God for His numerous blessings and the opportunity to showcase her skills and creativity on the stage! more »
Dee Finan (Costume Construction)
Dee spent 25 years costuming at Civic before retiring a couple of years ago. She now returns, as a volunteer, to guide and assist Jan and Jen on the big musicals. Alexis Carr (Costume Construction/Costume Rental Shop)
