Christmas Production Intensive: The Nutcracker
Ages: 7–14 Course: #094-24-10
Dates: Nov 16–Dec 6 Fee: $125
See your child perform a full-length production on Spokane Civic Theatre’s Main Stage!
Little Marie knows that Christmas magic is stirring in the toy cabinet. Her parents don’t believe her and the mysterious Godfather Drosselmeier just looks on as toy soldiers battle mice. Only Marie can break Dame Mouserink’s curse and save the Nutcracker from the Mouse King’s vengeance. Join the Nutcracker as he whisks Marie away on a visit to Candyland where Christmas wishes come to life.
No need to learn ballet, young actors will learn the ropes of theatre by performing this adaptation of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s The Nutcracker. Directed by Civic Theatre’s Director of Education, Stefan (D-W) Dreisbach-Williams, and performed on the Main Stage, this is excellent preparation for the novice or developing actor. Graduates of this course will have greater confidence and experience in auditions, public speaking and the ways of the stage.
Open to anyone ages 7–14, all levels of experience encouraged. Cast limited to 25 actors.
