Civic Earns MJ Murdock Charitable Trust GrantWhat:
Spokane Civic Theatre is thrilled to announce that it has received a $50,000.00 MJ Murdock Charitable Trust grant to upgrade and improve the Firth J. Chew Studio Theatre.
About:
Civic has long been planning to dress up their intimate black box theatre, and the opportunity is finally here thanks to MJ Murdock Trust. Improvements will include: new, portable Wenger seating and risers, new dimmers and an upgrade to the theatrical lighting system, a portable handicap ramp, as well as the renovation and addition to the existing men's and women's restrooms. Renovations will begin this August with the installation of new seats, which will provide for 96 comfortable theatre-goers.
In order to obtain the grant in full, Civic must raise a matching fund of $25,000.00 by December 2010. Contributions to the matching grant program can be made to:
