Thank you for considering giving a tax-deductible donation to Spokane Civic Theatre during our 2016-2017 Annual Fund Drive.

Please visit the sections below to hear from us, and others, about what Civic does and hopes to do for the community we live in:

Thank you for your continued support of Spokane Civic Theatre.

A Letter from our President

As a member of the Civic family, you already know the productions at Spokane Civic Theatre are the best in the region.

But did you know that Spokane Civic Theatre holds the most American Association of Community Theatres (AACT) national awards of any community theatre in the entire country?

You may be wondering how a community theatre in Spokane, Washington, can maintain a peerless record of national excellence in community theatre.

The answer is simple. Your support has made Spokane Civic Theatre the leading community theatre that it is - your theatre, for the community, by the community.

We exist to produce quality theatre of the highest artist merit, impacting the life of our region in a positive and meaningful way. And year after year, we succeed – thanks to you. If you haven’t already, we invite you to join us as a season ticket holder. Your commitment to our season is critical to our continued success.

As a nonprofit, every dollar you spend on tickets goes to pay for royalties on our shows, production materials (including costumes and set pieces), advertising to ensure audience attendance, and wages for our loyal staff whose service is worth far more than we can pay them.

But rising production costs present an ongoing challenge that is getting increasingly difficult to overcome. Ticket sales are not enough to keep your theatre operating. We count on you, our community, to make the difference every year, and, currently, we are a significant distance from meeting our budget.

Please give to Civic today.

Your gift is extremely important because it provides much-needed resources for shows currently in production as well those that will follow in the season. Your gift will make an immediate impact.

Your community is counting on you. Please submit your support through the following method that is most convenient for you.

Here are the ways you can help:

"Why is it important to support Spokane Civic Theatre? When you live in a city that is lucky enough to have a theater of this caliber, you simply need to help them thrive. Every aspect of Spokane Civic Theatre is quality: financial responsibility, amazing local talent, a top-notch professional staff, and a superb educational program. I hope that anyone reading this will see the importance of supporting this great organization and helping them grow into the future.”

"I am part of Civic because it is a great way to be involved with the community in a field I want to pursue as a career. I think it is important to support Civic so more people, like me, can be part of this wonderful place.”

-Adam Maddox, Civic Academy / Actor

“Spokane Civic Theatre has been entertaining both young and old for 68 seasons now! I want to acknowledge the talent and countless hours that the many volunteer actors, directors, crews and professional musicians have shared with our community. Thank you! I look forward to Civic’s continued success and growth, so that it may be passed on to future generations for their entertainment and enjoyment.

Won’t you please join me in my continuing support of “Our Theatre?”

-Wendy M. Klaue – Endowment Trustee/Volunteer/Past Board Member

“Civic is where my enduring love of theatre began. I have been fortunate to see theatrical masterpieces at bargain prices and just a 10-minute drive from my home. Our kids have grown up in Box and Hat, Summer Camps, main stage plays, and as volunteers themselves. Though it feels as if Civic has always been here, it was born - and continues to thrive - through the efforts of family and friends who, like mine, want to perpetuate this gem for our community. Please join me in supporting Spokane Civic Theatre with a gift to the annual fund.”

-Michael M. McCarthy, M.D.
