Box 'n' Hat Players

Since 1985, Box 'n' Hat Players has served as a springboard for the vocal, dance, and dramatic talents of the city's best young performers, ranging in age from 11 to 18. They frequently perform in productions for Spokane Civic Theatre, Spokane Children's Theatre, Theatre Arts for Children, Valley Repertory Theatre, and Spokane Theatrical Company.

Box 'n' Hat Players' brand of entertainment will bring just the right spark to your event. Count on family entertainment, suitable for all ages. The Box 'n' Hat Players are available to entertain at parties, clubs, openings, conventions, senior centers, schools, company picnics, at community centers, parks, and special events or programs! They've performed for Lion's Clubs, Fairchild Air Force Base, Shriner's Hospital, local schools and libraries, Family A-Fair at the Convention Center, and Imagination Celebration, just to name a few.

About the Director
Andrew Ware Lewis is ecstatic to begin his first year as the director of the Box 'n' Hat Players! He is an accomplished actor and director who has participated in numerous productions in the area.  He is also the drama instructor at Christian Youth Academy in Spokane. 

About the Music Director
Gary Laing has worked on countless Spokane Civic Theatre.  He also played in the orchestras for the recent touring productions of Annie Get Your Gun and Beauty and the Beast at the Opera House. In addition to his Box 'n' Hat duties, Gary is the organist at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, and pianist for Ballet Arts Academy, The Dance Center, and Whitman College Summer Dance Lab. Gary attended the University of Oregon in Eugene where he conducted the University Opera Theatre. He has served as a City of Spokane Arts Commissioner and President of the Greater Spokane Music and Allied Arts Festival.
