Theatre Facility
The Spokane Civic Theatre is one of few community theatres owning its own building and land. The present facility, which opened in 1967, houses two playing areas: The Main Stage Theatre and The Firth Chew Studio Theatre. The Main Stage auditorium is a proscenium-style theatre with a seating capacity of 339. The Firth J. Chew Studio Theatre is an intimate black box theatre which seats 96. Both are accessible to patrons using wheelchairs. The Main Stage also has Sennhiser infra-red assistive listening devices available. Accessible restrooms are available for both theatres. The backstage area includes the scene shop, costume shop, prop storage, green room, offices, and dressing rooms.
