A Civic Christmas, featuring Clarion Brass

Clarion Brass - The "Hallelujah for Everything" Tour

Clarion Brass's founder/arranger/trumpet gang member, William Berry and his ensemble of fantastic musicians brings their holiday spirit and charm to Civic for this one-night-only fundraising event.

Clarion is one of the world's top brass choirs, and in its two decades it has helped to define what a large brass ensemble should be and has greatly expanded the repertoire with many premieres. Clarion is a brass choir comprised of twelve brass players and a percussionist who formed to explore the versatility of this instrumental combination by performing everything from serious chamber works to jazz and popular music.

Admission: $15.00
Proceeds go to help Spokane Civic Theatre continue its mission of fostering and operating a volunteer live community theatre of high artistic merit.

This Is What Christmas Sounds Like! - A Civic Fundraising Event

Curtain Times

Of the evening's set, William Berry says: "Just because it is so stinkin' happy, one of my favorite lines from The Zither Carol is "Hallelujah for everything." So this year, in addition to bringing back our effervescent rendition of The Zither Carol featuring our high and mighty trumpet section, Clarion will perform a diverse collection of Hallelujahs, old and new. Speaking of new, hornist Kristin Joham will solo in a wistful and captivating new version of My Favorite Things and the trombone section will soar on the old Basque carol, The Angel Gabriel.

There will also be a few things familiar to you from Clarion's past concerts, including the hot New Orleans wailing on Santa Claus Is Coming to Town and our translucent and powerful setting of Lo How A Rose over a traditional Middle Eastern rhythm.

Something sure to get you in all of the moods for the Holidays, because there's nothing better than brass at Christmas - This Is What Christmas Sounds Like!"
